Annual Murder Mystery Evenings

These will take place on Saturday 7th and Saturday 14th February 2026.  There are a few tickets available for the 14th February.  These are always really fun evenings.

7th, 8th and 9th May 2026 – “Enchanted April” written by Matthew Barber, adapted from the book by Elizabeth von Arnem

The story involves two proper London housewives who decide to rent a Castle in Italy for a holiday from their bleak marriages.  They recruit two other, very different Englishwomen to share the cost and experience.  During their enchanted month in the castle, the ladies rediscover laughter, learn new truths about themselves and find just the romance they need and deep friendships.

A special one off production will take place on Saturday 13th June 2026 in the Large Hall in the Darby and Joan building. Tickets will be £5.00 each and more information about availability will be on the “Social Events” page nearer the time. We invite you to bring along your own picnic and drinks as you enjoy the reading of “The Woman who cooked her Husband”.

Thursday 26th, Friday 27th and Saturday 28th November 2026 – “Don’t Dress for Dinner” an hilarious farce by Marc Camoletti and Robin Hawdon

This hilarious farce takes place in a holiday villa in France.  It involves mistaken identity, infidelity and chaotic cover-ups where Bernard plans to bring his mistress but gets entangled with a cook hired for the weekend.  The plot thickens as his wife shows up.  More information will be available nearer the time.
