Our May 2018 production will be “Sitting Pretty” by Amy Rosenthal, a wonderful bitter-sweet comedy from the very talented daughter of Jack Rosenthal and Maureen Lipman:
Sisters Nina and Nancy share a flat. Nina is brisk, dynamic and gainfully employed. Nancy is plump, self-conscious and suddenly redundant. Urged to find a hobby, Nancy unwittingly stumbles into a job modelling for evening classes – but life models pose nude! Initially horrified, she is unexpectedly liberated by the experience. But what will happen when Nina discovers what Nancy HASN’T been covering up?
We’re about halfway through rehearsals, books are now down and all is going really well. It’s increasingly clear what a lovely, warm, funny play this is, so please make sure you don’t miss out, and book your tickets now.
Performances are on Thursday 10, Friday 11 & Saturday 12 May 2018 at 7.30pm at the Darby & Joan Hall, Finkle Street, Cottingham.
Tickets cost £8, £7 for concessions, and are on sale now from Barker’s Newsagents, Cottingham; Tourist Information Centre, Beverley; or by texting/phoning CLT on 07955 138061
