We are a very friendly drama group based in Cottingham. We put on two public productions a year, in May and September, at the Darby & Joan Hall in Finkle Street, Cottingham, rehearsing on Tuesday and Thursday evenings for about three months before each main production.
Recent productions include “Sitting Pretty”, by Amy Rosenthal and “A Kick in the Baubles” by Gordon Steele.
As well as our main productions, we hold regular monthly play readings (usually in The Blue Bell Pub in Cottingham) and have a varied programme of social events – so far this year we have dined, danced, quizzed and driven beetles.
We always welcome new members. So much goes into a production that you’re bound to find something you enjoy doing – set building, scene painting, making costumes, finding props, operating the lights, recording sound effects, front of house, selling programmes, prompting, providing refreshments, selling tickets, designing posters – oh, and acting too, if you fancy giving that a go!
If you like the sound of this, then why not find out more? Give Sue (01482 843393) a call, pop along to one of our monthly play readings, or check us out at a rehearsal.
